　　Recently, the reporter saw, at the junction of Zhongshan North 2nd Road and Zhengben Road, an open "Forest and Mushroom" came with basketball court, balance beam, fitness equipment, rocking horse... as a fitness site in the 15-minute community life circle of residents, perfect for leisure and entertainment of the general public. In the meantime, the riverside of Dongzouma Tang was also forged into a green slow walkway in this area.

　　Citizen Mr. Zhang only spent 5 minutes reaching this waterfront space from home, and witnessing new changes at the doorway, the old man sighed emotionally: "A few months of construction, I witnessed it step by step. The walking road environment gets better, I walk along the river every afternoon, road lights also turn brighter at night, and residents are very satisfied."

　　Citizen Ms. Liu brought over two kids to play here. She told reporter that it was fantastic to come and bask in the sun in good weather, while kids were running and jumping. "Hopefully this place can keep up with maintenance after opening, allowing the beautiful environment to accompany people's healthy life."

　　On January 13, inner circle "health monitoring system" of inner ring viaduct facility enhancement and function improvement engineering (Siping Road—Zhengben Road) accomplished installation successfully, and opened to traffic at 6:00 am. Up to then, the inner and outer circle construction of this section had basically come to an end. Meanwhile, as a public space at the waterfront of Dongzouma Tang, the waterfront space enhancement engineering under inner ring (Siping Road—Zhengben Road) viaduct of Yangpu's major engineering project also completed, and the space above and under viaduct was "refreshed" as a whole.

　　As a "rejuvenation" reform pilot of inner ring viaduct, the north side of (Siping Road—Zhengben Road) test section is Dongzouma Tang, and the south side is Zhongshan North 2nd Road, 3 lanes in the outer circle direction of trunk line and 2 lanes in the inner circle direction, with a total length of about 688.5 meters, 29 spans in total and viaduct deck width of 18 meters.

　　The outer circle accomplished reform and upgrading on October 30, 2022, and inner circle construction was officially kicked off on November 16 that year, around the same main contents of reform as the outer circle, focusing on function improvement and enhancement in four aspects of "bridge structure, ancillary facility, smart operation and maintenance, environmental landscape".

　　During the reform, how to guarantee non-stop traffic construction under large traffic flow was a hard nut to crack. Under vigorous support of Municipal Traffic Police Corps, Shanghai Road Transport Business Development Center, alongside Tunnel Shanghai Road & Bridge and Urban Construction Design Group, arranged access channels and working routes in details, through "day + night" period operation, with the time of each process strictly accurate to "half hour", ensured the road back to people on time every day, and minimized the impact of whole construction on the traffic.

　　After reform and upgrading, the viaduct features a stronger bridge structure, more gorgeous environmental landscape and more intelligent facility operation and maintenance, as an urban viaduct renewal model project with Shanghai characteristics that is "safe and controllable, efficient and smooth, smart service and eco-friendly", providing replicable and scalable successful experience and standard reference.

　　The reporter learned from the head of project design that this project aimed to boost fine urban management with "Embroidery Kung Fu" and create a number of people's fine urban management demonstration areas for living, business, pleasure and travel. The project design philosophy is to create the first fine utilization and open space under viaduct in Yangpu from four perspectives of "ecological co-integration, waterfront linkage, dynamic co-construction and cultural co-creation". "When flowers bloom in spring, the environment of pedestrians separated from vehicles, ramp and blind track coverage, as well as abundant vegetation species will bring people different visual aesthetics."
