Asian Skateboarding Championship 2016 is scheduled to take place on November 267th at SMP Skate Park of New Jiangwan Town. The competition is jointly certified and organized by International Skateboarding Federation (ISF), Chinese Extreme Sports Association (CESA), Shanghai Extreme Sports Association (SESA), Shanghai Sports Federation, Yangpu Sports Bureau and Shanghai Millennial Events.
The event will attract over 40 professional skateboarders from nearly 20 Asian countries, and medals will be presented in 3 events at 2 venues: Skateboard Street Competition (Men & Women) and the Skateboard Park Invitational Competition (Mixed). At the games, top Asian skateboarders including SanggoeTanjung from Indonesia, Li Zhixing from China and Aori Nishimura from Japan will fight for their countries, presenting a high-level feast for all audience. As China’s first professional competition that has been certified by the ISF, the Championship will introduce Asian skateboarders to the global stage and to the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. Champion and the First Runner-up of Skateboard Street Competition (Men) will likely be invited to the ISF-certified highest-level international skateboarding competition in 2017.
