In the season when grasses are tall and nightingales are in the air, the sports fans are finally "set free", as sports venues are gradually opened to the public. "Suffocated at home for almost two months, my body is going to 'rust'; later I heard the Zhongyuan Stadium had resumed work, so I immediately asked my friend to come over and play the ball. Now I come twice a week, too comfortable." In the afternoon of April 10, in the Badminton Hall of Zhongyuan Stadium, nine fields were fully packed, nearly 40 badminton fans were sweating like rains, and Mr. Zhu was one of them. "Epidemic prevention work of the hall is well in place, as the staff disinfects it at intervals. Although the Badminton Hall is an indoor venue, I feel quite assured." Mr. Zhu said.
Zhongyuan Stadium Badminton Hall Director Xu Jun introduced, "The Badminton Hall is now almost fully occupied from 9 am to 10 pm every day, and many people make reservations three or four days in advance. The daily reservations exceed 150 people on workdays and reach about 200 people on weekends."
Compared with indoors, many citizens prefer to exercise outdoors. At 2:30 pm, the outdoor basketball court of Zhongyuan Stadium was boisterous. "It's so exciting to come to the court, touch the basketball and hit the hoop," said basketball enthusiast Zhu Zhendong, "considering the Zhongyuan Stadium close to home, I used to playing the ball here with my classmates. At the end of January, the stadium was temporarily closed due to the epidemic, so we could only exercise at home, or occasionally went downstairs to practice dribbling and keep the amount of exercise. At present, the stadium is opened, and we can indulge in sweating on the court again."
While meeting the exercise needs of citizens, the string of epidemic prevention and control must be tightened as well. The reporter learned that, nowadays, citizens need to accept temperature monitoring, show the Shanghai Code, and register relevant personal information before entering the venue; Zhongyuan Stadium regularly disinfects the fields, apparatuses and the like for many times every day, and some fields need advance reservations to enter.
