In April, Shanghai's first life festival featuring the "like-minded" concept—— "Like-minded Life Festival" drama season was held in KIC. The environmental theatre Yi Nong Ma Ti Ni recently presented an ingenious performance in a cafe of the Da Xue Road Block.
Audiences sit in a circle, and the stories brought by actors do not take place on the stage, but right in front of eyes. In this immersive "theater", you are in the story.
Arrive at this small café, step into the world of others, and watch those smiles, tears, warmth and hug; when the performance is concluded, get rid of fatigue, back to reality, as if taking everything in stride. "I think the performance venue is well chosen, just in the Da Xue Road Block. The small café, storyline and scene never look out of place at all, and naturally lead everyone into scenarios." Audience Ms. Wang said.
The reporter learned from the organizer that the "Like-minded Life Festival" focused on "like-minded" as its core label to create a learning, feeling and sharing platform by various means of performances, parades, fairs, competitions and workshops for people with the same hobbies and interests. During the drama season from April to May, KIC joins forces with iMusical to land different repertoires in different scenes. Apart from "small theater musicals" and "immersive environmental dramas", there are also "drama creation workshop", "drama experience workshop"... Wewin Culture, ACOrange Musical and Fudan Drama Club will keep on interacting with audiences.
In the music season of May, KIC will invite bands and musicians from local universities. During the Golden Week, cute pet SHOW will also be launched, and the new cute pet social platform is formally accessible. "KIC has always focused on community-friendly commercial spaces, as an open block for whether residents, white-collar workers from surrounding enterprises or university teachers and students." As introduced by Zhao Dawei, the founder of iMusical, this time, "Like-minded Life Festival" is co-hosted with KIC, hopefully to guide the overall community activities with interest, rather than distinguishing by professional identity of everyone, but by common interests and hobbies. "The drama festival is just the beginning. Taking the opportunity of such an event, more original works are expected to stage in KIC over the long run to spur cultural atmosphere of the entire region."
