　　The electronic data plate “China·Good Air” that has been jointly developed by Shanghai Association of Environmental Protection Industry, Shanghai Decoration Club and the first batch of third-party authoritative institutions has been put into operation.

　　The electronic data plate “China·Good Air” uses the latest technology to store the inspection and evaluation report with legal force in the QR code which serves as an ID of the classroom. Any people can use the mobile phone to scan the code and check whether methanol, benzene and TVOC meet the standard.

　　Anshan Junior Middle School conducted some refurbishment during summer holiday and replaced some desks and chairs in the classrooms. People will get a report after scanning the QR code in the classroom with their mobile phone. The report shows the inspection date, content and conclusion. Take Room 509 Multifunctional Meeting Hall as example. 

　　After scanning the code, the user of the mobile phone will receive the message as below: The inspection of the decoration was conducted from August 19 to 21. The area of Room 509 is 72 square meters. Composite wood flooring, coating on the wall and ceiling, desks and chairs in the room were inspected. Inspection conclusion is “Up to Standard.”

　　Summer holiday is a peak season for middle schools, primary schools and kindergarten to refurbish their campus and conduct interior decoration. There were more hot days in this year’s summer holiday. High temperature usually accelerates the volatilization of methanol. Methanol remained in planks, floors, furniture, coating and paints and other hazardous substances would duplicate the pollution.

　　“Parents seldom get the chance to see the original inspection reports in paper form and will naturally be concerned,” said a related principal of Shanghai Association of Environmental Protection Industry. With this electronic plate, students and parents can easily get access to the inspection report. More schools are expected to follow Anshan Junior Middle School to launch such a mechanism by providing electronic identification for decoration inspection.
