Shanghai Shidong Hospital recently donates medical cards valued at RMB 1, 0000 to 50 residents living in poor conditions of Yinxing Community, Yangpu District. It has been told that the medical card issued by Shidong Hospital has pioneered a payment model in Shanghai. It allows the patients to pay their medical fees generated each time when seeing a doctor all at once, if they have deposited adequate amount of money in their cards in advance, so they can save the trouble of paying one procedure after another. Residents who have been given the previously-deposited medical cards can use it when going to Shidong Hospital for treatment, and benefit from the convenient and quick medical procedure.

　　Since 2012, Shanghai Shidong Hospital has actively communicated with residents of Yinxing Community at the beginning of each year, and donated medical cards to families with lower incomes and residents hit by major diseases.

　　Apart from donating medical cards, staff members of the Hospital have helped donate subsidiaries to a student from the University of Shanghai for Science and Technology. The donation will be done in 4 consecutive years.
