Recently, the 2018 China (Shanghai) Youth Football International Forum was held at the Shanghai University of Sport. International youth football experts from Spain, Japan, and South Korea met with Chinese football professionals such as Zhu Guanghu and Liu Jun to explore potential development and reform path of youth football training for China and Shanghai.

　　At the forum, Eduardo Balghese, the president of the Football School of Royal Spanish Football Federation, delivered a keynote speech on "Techniques and Methods of Physical Training in Youth Football". According to him, the coaches in Spain will enhance the trainees' aware of passing and team spirit by hand-holding and hugging.

　　As an important part of the 2018 Baiyangdian Cup Shanghai International under-17 Football Tournament, Mads Davidsen, the Technical director of Shanghai SIPG Football Club also delivered a keynoted speech on "the Application of Internet technology and Big Data in Youth Football Training", which was thought-provoking. According to him, for Chinese football team to make it in World Cup, they need to focus on training players and more professional coaches. 

　　As only a good youth coach could deliver a group of well-trained young player. Meanwhile, coaches should make better use of big data analysis to improve the training and efficiency of youth football.

　　According to sources, Shanghai Sports School, Shanghai Chongming Genbao Football Training Base, Shanghai Yangpu District Youth Amateur Sports School and other 11 units were awarded the Shanghai Youth Football Elite Training Bases by the Shanghai Sports Bureau in October 2015. The elite football bases have paved the foundation for training young football talent, attracting more students to the football court, and quality of young players.

　　As introduced, as a "hometown of football" in the country, Yangpu District has a long history in football development. The District has been the host of Shanghai International Under-17 Football Invitational Tournament since 2011. After years of operation, the quality of the participating teams has met the international top-level, and the game itself has built up international influence. Leveraging the influence of the event, the Forum provides local youth football coaches a rare opportunity to communicate with and learn from international peers to foster the development of local youth football.
