　　Like the temperature in recent days, citizens' enthusiasm for eating cold drinks is gradually "warming up". In a cheap cold drink wholesale center on Guohe Road, store manager and assistants were busy supplying cold drinks for local people.

　　Upon entering the door, I felt really chilled. More than a dozen refrigerators are arranged in a U-shaped line, with a huge display board on the whole wall, clearly indicating the unit price of all cold drinks under different brands in white characters on the red background. The wholesale price of all products available is 30% off their retail price, and the cheapest popsicle sells for only RMB0.7.

　　On July 12, store manager Zhao Xuekuan did not stop for a break as from the time of me entering the store. According to Mr. Zhao, all 5 employees of this wholesale point have been working hard since it resumed business in June. The re-stocking work alone kept two people really busy. At present, the daily stocking quantity is at least 600 boxes. Those goods basically sold out when the store closed at 11 o'clock at night. 

　　Unlike the criticized "ice cream assassin", this cold drink wholesale store has a "household name" for local people. It has been popular among the neighborhoods thanks to its reasonable prices and reliable quality for more than 20 years.

　　Ms. Sun, a citizen, told reporters: "I moved in here more than two years ago. In summer, I often come here to buy ice cream. My neighbors keep telling me that ice cream products are reasonably priced here and much cheaper than in other places. This store is a good choice for large purchase."

　　After picking up a carton at hand, customers here simply load it with ice cream products they like. There is a staggering array of cold drinks under many brands from local brand Bright to foreign brand Meiji. Of course, the most popular brand is Bright. Salty popsicle sells for only RMB0.9/piece, and the unit price of Ice Brick, Xuebao and Three-Color Ice Cream, Shanghai people's childhood memories, ranges between RMB1.1 and RMB2.8. 

　　Zhao Xuekuan, the store manager, said that they would always stick to reasonable pricing. "We have always given a 30% discount for all products here.  We will not change this for now and in the future. In short, we just make small profits and sell more. We earn less and sell more, just to give our customers the greatest benefits."
