Adjusting the energy structure is an important step in improving the quality of environment. Increasing renewable resources can help improve the quality of the air. The 2016 “Urban Ecosystem and Energy Saving Forum” focusing on an important topic of “the use of renewable resource and urban air and environment” is being held in Tongji University and attended by experts and scholars from universities and research institutes in China and other countries to discuss the reasonable development and use of renewable resources to improve the overall quality of ecosystem and environment.

　　The experts stated that countries all over the world are working on developing renewable resources because the increasing shortage of oil and natural gas and the tension arising from the use of coal on urban air quality. Renewable resources have taken an important position in energy consumption in the world after years of development. It is significant for the sustainable development and urban environment improvement as well as the transformation of energy consumption to learn from developed countries and develop more efficient energy structure that works for the country.
