Individuals whose annual income in the past year exceeds RMB120, 000 are requested to declare their individual income taxes to the taxation authority in the first three months of the year. To improve the convenience and practicality of individuals handing tax issues on the Internet, Shanghai Municipal Bureau of Local Taxation has consolidated all the functions of the “tax declaration system for individual tax payers with annual income exceeding RMB120, 000” and the “Shanghai Municipal Individual Taxation Information Check System” into “Shanghai Municipal Individual Online Taxation APP” since January 1 this year. The APP will benefit tax payers in Yangpu.

　　On February 1, the wechat public account was launched. On March 1, the Android and iPhone APP were launched. Since then, individuals with annual income exceeding RMB120, 000 need not trouble their finance staff or themselves to go to the tax bureau and fill in the declaration forms. They can complete the tax declaration on computer, with wechat or APP on their mobile phones.

　　Tax payers in Shanghai can register their real names by using the taxation information on the platform, the account information of Shanghai People’s Mailbox or the taxation service halls and getting a registration code. Registered users of the “tax declaration system for individual tax payers with annual income exceeding RMB120,000” and the “Shanghai Municipal Individual Taxation Information Check System” can automatically become registered users of the “Shanghai Municipal Individual Online Taxation APP”.

　　Registered users can go to the website of Shanghai Municipal Bureau of Local Taxation or gr.tax.sh.gov.cn and log onto the APP to check the individual income tax information, download, print and verify “Shanghai Municipal Bureau of Local Taxation Individual Income Tax Payment List”. When registered users declare the tax payment online independently, the APP will automatically provide all information available for the user to verify and edit before confirming the declaration. When the tax payer have any problem using the APP, they can log on www.tax.sh.gov.cn to read the Users Guidance, call 12366, post questions on the weblog and wechat of local Shanghai taxation, or go to the taxation service halls in the city to consult with working staff there.
