On Jul. 15, light-boxes with series water-color painting themed on “Century-old Memories of Yangpu’s Industry” have been placed at Exit No.1 of Jiangwan Stadium Station on Metro Line 10. Those paintings, 18 in total, are the embodiment of the district’s history and memories, and the presentation of its changes and progress over the year, showcasing the first water plant in China, the first gas works, the first thermal power plant. Using the above series water-color painting to represent urban memories and enhance cultural innovation is Yangpu District’s first innovative initiative to “display the District’s history & culture in metro station” .  Photographed by Zhu Liangcheng
