The 19th China International Industry Fair ("CIIF"), known as the "benchmark" for China's manufacturing industry, was held at the National Convention and Exhibition Center (Shanghai) from November 7 to 11.

　　With the theme of "Innovative, Smart and Green", this year's CIIF brought together nine professional fields including industrial automation, robotics, technological innovation and aerospace. The exhibition covered an area of 280,000 square meters with more than 2,500 exhibitors from 28 countries. Centering around the implementation of the plan on the new generation of artificial intelligence by the State Council, this year's CIIF set up an "Artificial Intelligence" area for the first time, presenting the latest scientific and technological innovation and application achievements both at home and abroad. Highlights on the CIIF include: the first AI chip for smart phones n the world launched by the Cambricon Information Technology Co., Ltd., the facial recognition algorithm and applications that ranked first in 4 global facial recognition tests from YITU Technology, and China's only independently researched and developed deep learning platform from SenseTime Group Limited which has been granted the world's largest amount of financing.

　　In the meantime, the exhibition also focused on global high-end manufacturing equipment, new materials, energy and environment and other fields, with an emphasis on the effective connection among the exhibition, forums and activities. It further improved technical support such as APP navigation and access facial identification and record to make the visitors feel efficiency and convenience of the intelligent application of information, fully demonstrating the achievements of China in accelerating the building of a strong nation in manufacturing and in promoting the in-depth integration of the Internet, big data, artificial intelligence and the real economy.
