At the “Business Starters’ Fair” held in Yanji Graduates Business Starting Homestead, Shanghai Jiarui Intelligent Technology Co. Ltd. which moved into the homestead in September last year started to recruit marketing and technical staff for the company. Since its founding in April 2009, the homestead has successfully incubated 61 enterprises. The newly founding companies, with the help of the homestead, will enjoy two years of incubation here and grow stronger so that they can leave and continue to grow somewhere else.
In the past, college students would usually start their business after graduation. However, Yangpu District Bureau of Human Resources and Social Security has lately launched the “Intern Entrepreneur Policies” which enables college students who have the ambition to start their own business to try out and practice. Facing the stringent employment situation, the bureau has moved the government support one step ahead and encourages college students to take three months of intern, helping the future entrepreneurs to learn the market rules and operational procedures of an enterprise in advance.
As learned from Yangpu District Bureau of Human Resources and Social Security, the first batch of 35 intern positions will recruit 50 people and the interview will start soon. Eight incubation institutions including the Science & Technology Park, Graduates Business Starting Model Park and Graduates Business Starting Homestead will offer some assistant positions such as assistant manager, project assistant, marketing assistant etc. to sophomore and junior undergraduates and postgraduate students in the first or second year. The purpose is to enable the students to learn the business of various kinds, accumulate practices and master business starting skills.
The three months’ internship will go in three stages: Firstly, students who pass the interviews will work in assistant positions in the incubation institutions and understand the starting businesses; Secondly, they will take part in business starting practices on the Product Experiment & Trial Making Platform of China (Shanghai) Entrepreneur Public Practice Base so as to further understand the business starting team and feel the dynamics of the team; Finally, they will receive business starting simulative practice at the practical training platform to experience the vivid operational environment of a real business. “By doing this, we can make full use of the existing resources and help students with ambition to start their own business get prepared,” said a related principal of the bureau. “For students with such ambition, the experience can be a perfect preview.”
Additionally, according to the “Intern Entrepreneur Policies,” the students can get 80% of the minimum monthly salary of employees in the city as life subsidies, which means these “intern entrepreneurs” will get about RMB1, 300 every month during their three months of internship.
