Le You Liang Kindergarten in Yangpu has newly purchased a “Big Nose” school bus which is compliant with the latest national standards to make sure the traffic safety of students. This is the second of its kind following Da Di Kindergarten which purchased the first one in the district.
On April 5, the State Council issued “School Bus Safety Management Regulations.” Accordingly, General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine, and the Standardization Administration of the People’s Republic of China issued two compulsory national standards which have laid down very strict standards for safety performance and related specifications of the school bus, i.e., “Special school Bus Safety Technical Conditions” and “Students’ Seat System of Special School Bus and Strength of Fixed Components of the Vehicle.”
In 2013, the district has upgraded supervision over school buses and strictly implemented “123 Ordinance” and “124 Ordinance” to regulate drivers’ behaviors and school bus safety management. From September 1 this year, all school buses, self owned or chartered, of primary schools and kindergartens in Yangpu, have to be special school buses that are designed and manufactured accordingly to the latest national standards after the No.239 batch.
