　　Environmental disinfection is a very important part of containing the pandemic. Recently, Yangpu Fire Brigade started to use a high-power disinfection machine - water spray pulse disinfecting machine, which not only has a larger spraying area, but also has a longer standby time, thus greatly improving the disinfection efficiency.

　　It is told that the equipment is powered by lithium batteries, and its spray radius can reach 8 to 10 meters in windless environment. Taking Shanghai Oriental International Fisheries Market for example, the building area is 7,000 square meters, and the area that needs to be disinfected is about 50,000 square meters. The 20-person environmental disinfecting team under Yangpu Fire Brigade use 6 sets of water spray pulse disinfecting machines and completed disinfection for the market in just 6 hours, which saved at least 4 hours compared to the old equipment.

　　Wu Qiang, instructor at the Zhenghe Fire Station, said, "firefighters act as a professional team and should shoulder this responsibility. They are more suitable for this special job of disinfecting due to their excellent physical fitness."

　　It is learned that Yangpu District is continuously organizing   disinfecting personnel to carry out environmental disinfection in all public areas such as residential quarters and business districts one by one.
